ROUND TABLE DISCUSSION W/ POLITICAL STUDENT ASSEMBLY:
From fracking, to oil prices, to alternative energy; California is a hotbed of possible controversial environmental policy. With decisions like Keystone XL Pipeline still on the table for 2014, individual state actions are of incredible importance in the national political scheme. How do you feel about current policies in California? Have ideas, or working towards a solution?
Then join the Unruh Institute of Politics at 7:30-8:30pm in MHP 102 on Wednesday, April 2nd for dinner and discussion with former California State Senator Tony Strickland and former California Assemblyman Anthony Portantino. Students will have the opportunity to learn more about some of crucial environmental policy issues in California, and the future route the state is taking.
Discussion will be preceded by an opportunity to informally meet other students and interact with the legislators over complimentary dinner.
