USC Program Board’s Speakers Committee, Environmental Student Assembly, and International Student Assembly are thrilled to welcome actor and avid environmentalist, Ian Somerhalder, as the distinguished keynote speaker for USC Earth Month 2014!
Ian Somerhalder is currently starring in the hit drama, THE VAMPIRE DIARIES, as Damon Salvatore, and is known for his role as Boone on the critically acclaimed drama, LOST. This spring, Somerhalder will be seen in Years of Living Dangerously, Showtime’s gripping new docu-series centering on global climate change. In 2010 Ian launched The Ian Somerhalder Foundation, working tirelessly to educate, empower, and collaborate with others to advocate involvement in clean energy, animal rights, and habitat conservation initiatives. ISF is also actively involved in distributing funds towards renewable energy development, as well as supporting green technologies, green disaster relief and promoting environmentally responsible practices in the entertainment industry.
